REGINA’S NEW YORK DINING

BREAKFAST...BRUNCH…. 2 A.M. until Noon

CAFETERIA - 119 Seventh Ave. at 17th street 414-1717

My favorite find to date –(I wrote this is 1999 and returned again in 2008 and it still applies) I love any place that is hip and serves 24 hours a day- 7 days a week- you cant help but be a repeat customer because they are always there for you...whether its breakfast at two in the afternoon or Fried Chicken and waffles or Seared Tuna at two a.m.- so civilized...its even a place we can take Luc & Martin at 7:p.m. on a Sunday night for macaroni & cheese or Chicken & dumplings...the food is really good and great prices.

NORMAS-Parker Meridian Hotel-118 W. 57th 708-7460

The best breakfast-brunch in New York. Caramel French Toast, Duck Hash with Poached Eggs or Salmon Benedict…and on and on…great coffee, service etc.

SAKS FIFTH AVE. CAFE- Nice for Sunday Brunch (they dont open until noon on Sundays)

try to plan ahead and get a window table to have a view. Perfect for ladies lunch or brunch on Sunday and shopping afterwards.

CASUAL and CHEAP

Some times you just want a hamburger….

THE BURGER JOINT- Parker Meridian Hotel-118 W. 57th 708-7460

You just look behind the velvet curtain and in the lobby of this opulent hotel is one of the best burgers in the city. A must do in NYC

Other notable Burgers-

Café Luxembourg,

RIGALETTO’S PIZZA- Columbus between 67th and 68th

OLLIES NOODLE HOUSE- Broadway & 67th/ 595-818

The wait is never as long as they say and once your in it goes real fast. the food is good, flavorful and cheap take out works just fine...

REALLY GOOD MID PRICED DINING

PAYARD PATISERIE – 1032 Lexington (73rd & 74th ) 212-717-5252
Perfect for simple Bistro Lunch. I can only think of one or two places in Paris that have pastries as beautiful as these. I go in just to look - I make everyone who comes to visit go and look - and of course the taste isthere as well. I love the tea there in the afternoons - The restaurant is very good or you can just sit up front and have a simple Bistro Lunch with Dessert for $20- $25.
fare- Love it ... Love it.

CAFE LUXEMBOURG-200 West 70th & Amsterdam -873-7411

It is a tradition for me…I arrive in NYC and I drop my bags and go to Café Luxembourg. Love it, Love it. Just my type of restaurant. Very good food. Always something satisfying on the menu…even if it is just the Mushroom Omelet with Brie. I feel I am in the City when I am here. I

could be in Paris, London or New York. A neighborhood Bistro…how lucky it is in my neighborhood.

BAR BOULOD- 1900 Broadway between 63rd & 64th- The best Coq au Vin...ever..love this place. Danielle Boulod food at decent prices...what a concept. Have always had great dining experience here and one of my personal favorites.
NOBU NEXT DOOR-105 Hudson at W. Broadway (Tribeca )334-4445

The more casual side of NOBU for sushi…no doubt some of the best sushi in the City

RUBY FOO'S- 2182 Broadway at 77th 724-6700 there is another near the Theater District.

Great anytime of day or night. I enjoy it at night so you can try one of their exotic Martinis.
